Monaco - Monte Carlo ,Round
Seven
Formula
One Speed Series visited Monaco for the F1SS Monaco Grand Prix. Practice was a bit of a shake up,
with a wet track and many drivers testing to cope with the
wet and slick track. Qualifying turned out to be dry with N.Cole taking a commanding pole position over J.Gara Jr.,
the Briton's second of the season. At the start of the race
Gara Jr. blasted to the front and led nearly half the race
before pitstops. S.Lumsden ran second early on until the
Scot spun at turn 1. After Gara passed Cole after his
pitstop, Gara stuffed it in the armco where N.Cole took and
the lead and stayed there. The American Jody Gara Jr.
followed behind in second with C. O'Sullivan taking another
podium in third. S. Lumsden and T.Abby finished fourth and
fifth. N.Cole becomes the first driver to win the same race
in both Season 1 and Season 2.
Spain - Barcelona , Round Six
The
Spanish Gran prix , F1SS round six again took place at the
circuit de catalunya a happy hunting ground for Slurm last
season but not this season with O'Sullivan out and Lumsden
retiring before the race began due to a injured hand , it
was left to 4 drivers to fight it out on track . it
was DSC Motorsports driver N.Cole who captured pole position
and also made a welcome return to the top of the podium
crossing the line first in the stunning DS210F. The F1SS
drivers champion was flawless in victory and has put
himself right back in the hunt again for a crack at being
champion again . with a host of drivers omission from
the grid it was a chance for other drivers to take ,most
notably For Tosh Abby (3rd) who grabbed his first ever
podium in the league and much needed points for Gara Racing
to keep them on top of the constructors championship
.RACE

superb performance. Defending champion Nick Cole finished in

RACE RESULTS
Bahrain - Sakhir , Round Four
F1ss
travelled to Sakhir for the Bahrain GP round 4 of the F1ss
Season 2 , The circuit which last season ended in
controversy was brought back to the season by the hierarchy
of the F1SS , 6 drivers again made it to the grid. Problems
with his car S.Lumsden failed to set a time in Qualifying . it was J.Gara who
took pole . it was looking
as if the American would dominate again in the race , but
tyre wear toward the end of the race let E .Stanford take
his first chequered flag of the league hotly pursued by Gara and N.Welsh who was given a 30 sec penalty after the race..
RACE RESULTS
China - Shanghai , Round Three

Chinese Gran Prix round Three of the F1SS season took place

the prolific DSC team , a different driver would be on the
top of the podium come the end of the race , with S.Lumsden
taking his first pole position of the season he made a great
start and completed the first few laps with N.Welsh and
J.Gara hot on his heels.
